Open enrollment on the NY State of Health marketplace ends on March 31, 2014. If you do not buy insurance during the open enrollment period, you may lose the chance to get financial help to buy insurance and may be subject to a tax penalty.
Plans can only be changed during the open enrollment period, unless there is a “triggering event” such as a loss of job-based insurance, a change in family size or a change in income that makes you ineligible for Medicaid.
